How a single-seat group works

One business per category. No competitors in the room, so every member can refer freely and every referral has one obvious home.

One seat. One profession.

One seat per profession

When the plumbing seat is filled, there is one plumber in the room. Members learn exactly what you do and who you want to meet, and they bring you that person. You never compete for the referral.

Referrals, every meeting

Each meeting ends with referrals passed in the room: a name, a number, and the reason they need you. That is a warm introduction, not a lead list. Members follow up and report back.

Relationships before transactions

You will sit down with the same twenty-seven people every other week and see them at quarterly socials. Trust builds first. Business follows it.

South Williamson Business Networking Group exists to connect local professionals through meaningful relationships, consistent referrals, and genuine encouragement. Through bi-weekly meetings and quarterly social events, we create opportunities for businesses to grow together, support one another, and strengthen our local community.

The group’s mission, in its own words.

  1. Open networking

The first fifteen minutes are for handshakes. A member will meet you at the door.

  2. Around the table

Every member gives a 60-second introduction: who they are, who they serve, and who they want to meet this week.

  3. Referrals and thank-yous

Referrals are passed in the room, and closed business from earlier referrals is reported back.

  4. Visitor welcome

You introduce yourself, the group answers your questions, and you leave knowing whether the seat fits.

What is a seat worth to you?

A warm introduction closes far more often than a cold lead, because the person calling you already trusts the person who sent them. Put your own numbers in and see what one seat at this table could return.

One visit takes an hour over lunch. Membership is one seat, one hour a week.

Questions people ask before they visit

Anything else? Put it in the note when you reserve your seat and a member will answer by email.

What does single-seat mean?

Each profession is represented by exactly one member. If the roofing seat is held, no other roofer joins. That is what makes members comfortable referring: there is never a question about who in the room gets the referral.

Who can visit?

Any owner or professional serving south Williamson County who is curious about the group. If your profession is already seated you are still welcome to visit, meet the room, and join the waitlist for that seat.

Does it cost anything to visit?

No. Your first visit is free and carries no obligation. If you decide you want the seat, membership dues and expectations are explained in person.

What if my seat is taken?

Join the waitlist from the seat board. Seats open when a member changes industries, moves, or steps away, and the waitlist is contacted first. Visiting anyway is a good idea: the members you meet will remember you when it opens.

Where do you meet?

We meet at the Churchill Mortgage building, 1749 Mallory Ln, Ste 100, Brentwood, TN 37027. Parking and arrival details come with your RSVP confirmation.

What should I bring?

About 30 business cards. A 60-second introduction of what you do and who you serve. One referral or connection you can offer the room. Most of all, bring curiosity about the other people in the room. The members who get the most referrals are the ones who give them.

How is this different from a chamber of commerce?

A chamber is wide: hundreds of members and occasional events. A seat group is deep: the same two dozen people at every meeting, each one learning your business well enough to refer it. Many members belong to both.
